The Omron E5CB is a low cost entry level PID temperature controller. It is ideal as an alarm unit or for heater temperature contol. The large 4 digit display shows the measured temperature in red and target temperature in green. Currently stocked in 3 models, there is a choice of sensor input and supply voltage.

The controller has a choice of 10 alarm modes which activate the alarm relay (2nd output), the alarm is non-latching. The Run/stop function allows the control of the main output to be stopped, this done a via a front panel button. The controller features protection functions to hide or prevent changes to settings, so a supervisor can prevent operators from accessing functions such as Setpoint, Auto-tuning and Run/stop. The temperature input can be shifted to offset temperature sensor errors.

The ABB C50 Controller/Alarm unit is a compact single loop controller, with the capability to measure, indicate and control a variety of process variables. It is ideal for simple PID control, offering On/Off or Time Proportioning (PID) control with a one shot self-tune facility. The C50 can also act as an independent alarm unit, for example, as an over-temperature safety cutout unit for furnaces or ovens. The CAL 4600C is simple and user-friendly panel-mount process controller, with a large colour changing display and remarkably small depth behind the panel of less than 30mm. It features a single program that can have delayed start, a ramp, a dwell/soak at temperature and then either stop or return to the set-point.

The CAL 4600C can take a range of process inputs, including thermocouple, resistance thermometer, 4-20mA, 0-10V and other common DC process signals.

The controller has a choice of alarms which close the relay contact (Output 2): Process High, Process Low, Band and Deviation. (Band and Deviation (high or low) alarm values are relative to the current setpoint value.) When the alarm is active the display back-light can change from green to red (or vice-versa), visually telling the operator when the process needs attention.

The CAL 4600C is a compact and cut-down version of the CAL 4600 which has many more features and options, but with a larger depth behind the panel. Please contact us for more details.

The Eurotherm 3216L is an entry level PID process controller in 1/16th DIN size. It provides precision control of temperature or other process variables at a very affordable price. It is simple to use and set up with its Quick Code to configure the input sensor type and outputs to control you process. Output options include relay and logic SSR drive in heat only or heat/cool configuration, or the relays can be used as latching alarms. Autotune can be used to improve control performance or the PID control values can enter manually. The front facia is IP65 sealed so it can be washed down.

The 2132 PID temperature controller uses advanced PID algorithms to give stable 'straight line' temperature control. Self-tuning is included to optimise the control performance without the need for specialist knowledge or training. It has 9 internally stored thermocouple types and the Pt100 resistance thermometer as well as linear process inputs. Linear inputs can be scaled to the desired display range. The Eurotherm nanodac is a 4 channel recorder in a compact 1/4 DIN panel mounting size. It has four high accuracy universal inputs for data recording. This secure data recording device with accurate control is enhanced by a full colour, 3.5", 320 x 240 pixel, display to bring a crystal clear operator interface to even the smallest of machines.

The nanodac has multiple real-time views and historical review on the product, multiple data archiving strategies are provided utilising the 50MB onboard Flash memory, removable USB and data transfer via FTP to a specified server. The four universal input channels provide high accuracy (suitable for use in Nadcap applications) and 125ms parallel sampling. An additional 14 virtual channels can be utilised to provide maths, counter, slave communications and totaliser functionality within the instrument. Review software for Windows can also be used to automatically retieve data to a Review database over the Ethernet network connection. Both Review and Dream Report™ software can be used for report generation that meets the needs of your process.

The nanodac instrument can also provide two independent control loops (optional). This control functionality utilises the advanced Eurotherm PID algorithm providing high performance and reliability to your process. Functionality includes one of the best autotune facilities available along with overshoot inhibition (cutbacks); compensation for power fluctuations using power feedforward; linear, fan, oil and water cooling.
